- Former colleague of Doug Haynes and Doug Adams at John Moores University where I led the development of numerous courses around the theme of technology management and innovation based on systems methods. Since 2000 I have acted as an independent consultant applying, mostly implicitly, a systemic approach to business development.
I have a major interest in the application of Humberto Maturana and Francisco Varela biology of cognition and have published a number of papers on its use in human system development, including individual enterprises, so-called networks and communities of practice, but particularly in relation to understanding the 'technology phenomenon' and its significance in the evolution of cultural spaces. I use SSM, but not VSM.
I am also regional organiser for the Gurteen Knowledge Cafe in the north west.
