Introducing myself-looking for friends!!!

Hi everyone, Doug Haynes alerted me to SCIO and I may make the next meeting in Manchester. I've had a quick look around and read some interesting discussions and noted, particularly, the videos on Maturana's brand of systemic thinking. I am a great great fan of his work. I've written quite a bit to both interpret and apply it to human system development. I've used it implicitly and explicitly and I was wondering how much interest there would be here in me sharing some of these articles.

Obviously I would be interested in making friends with anyone else who is interested in Maturana's approach. I'm currently mixing up the biology of cognition with systems thinking (systems dynamics), actor-network theory (systems thinking but denied by the proponent sociologists), a bit of SSM, a bit of the systemic psychology of the Finnish academic Timo Jarvelhito , and a bit of knowledge management for good measure. No VSM, though.

Much of this mix has been used to develop a different kind of systems approach to enterprise creation, what we are now calling social networks, and communities of practice, for which I have a soft systems derived definition.

If you have the time you would be welcome to join my networking initiative part of the knowledge cafe community established by Dave Gurteen at an alternative collaborative space to ning at http://knowledgecafe0151.collectivex,com. Next meeting on 29th jan 6pm in the ship and mitre pub dale st, Liverpool. Topic for discussion is: Objects are not neutral. The use of objects and symbols in change management.

Hope to hear from someone in reply.
